Australia

".....Hi...I am one of four people in a team (FOUR IN BALANCE) participating for the FIRST time in the Gold Coast Kokoda Challenge - 2011.

During training I tried ALL the blister free socks, powders, strapping, second skin etc. to no avail. One of my lovely team-mates got onto your product - Hikerswool - and presented me with a bag...I AM SOO THANKFUL...no more blisters!! (I might have a chance at being a foot model...hahaha!!)

I have spread and shared my words of pain free happiness (and your website) on our Challenge's chat room. THANK YOU..."

".....Hi, Just a quick note about your product..... I am an amputee and have been using Hikerswool as a protection layer and the wool has stopped a lot of problems with chaffing. I can also go for longer periods of time without having to change my stump sock.

I am a through knee amputee (weight bearing on the end of the stump) and for me Hikerswool deals with the sweat irritaion and extends the wear life of the stump sock. In a day I would change the stump sock at least 4-5 times but by using Hikerswool - maybe twice. Stump socks are made of wool fibre but after a few washes they lose a lot of the soft fibres. A thin layer of Hikerswool is perfect -  it extends the life of the stump sock and of course you have the benefit of the lanolin as well.

Just as a matter of interest it was my partner who saw your product at a fair and she said she thought it would be of help. My reply to her now is - "it has been life changing"."

".....HikersWool has been our best discovery this year. Have just completed the Milford Track and found it invaluable. Wouldn't ever leave home without it again. Shared it with others doing the Milford Track.......a lovely father and daughter from Melbourne were so grateful for the wool that I thought you should know.

Well done to you guys and what a fabulous thing to take out of our country. It's light and different and works so well."

".....I have used HikersWool on several walks though the South Island of New Zealand in all types of weather and found it to be an absolute godsend.

In 2007 I walked the Kokoda Trail and the last thing that went on each day before pulling on the socks was the HikersWool. Even in the dampest conditions it still provided the ultimate relief for feet ravaged by the rugged terrrain.

Earlier this year I trekked through Tasmania for 5 days and the daily companion was HikersWool.

I am getting my next batch to see me through 3 separate walks in the UK - one in the Scottish Highlands, another in the Shetland Islands and the last one is the Coast To Coast walk (300kms in 14 days) across the top of England.

I am guessing I will go through a bit there to ensure the feet stand up to the task as much as the lungs and the rest of the body.

I have also got my mates wife using it daily in her shoes on her daily hospital duties, so it's as good in the office as it is in the wild.

Who said the only good thing to come out of New Zealand was the Rugby team!"

"... I can totally endorse the Hikers Wool product. My wife and I have had the privilege of hiking in the Rockies many times. In recent years the enjoyment of these hikes have been marred by burning and chafing on my left small toe and increasing pressure on my right big toe joint. These problems are the result of progressive deterioration due to arthritis and a lifetime of feet problems. By using Hikers Wool I can walk all day in my hiking boots on our favorite trail to Iceberg Lake in Glacier National Park without chafing and burning. I still end up foot-sore but without the agonies of chafed bleeding toes."

"...I continued to use your product every day on the trek and experienced no problems at all only getting one small blister on an unprotected toe after a long vigorous downhill day. I retained all my toenails which many suffered badly from. Having plenty of Hikers Wool on hand we were able to help out with a number of fellow trekkers who were having a very uncomfortable time of things.

"...the highlight was to get to the top of Kala Patthar at 5584m after reaching Everest Base camp the day before. Only four of us from our party of 40 achieved this, and my daughter and I were both using your Hikers Wool product.”

-Laurie Stanton, Central Otago, NZ

“What a marvellous product. I have used your Hikers Wool in my tramping boots, sports shoes (and in one particular pair of dress shoes) and what a difference it makes. The joy of be able to tramp all day or walk a half marathon without the worry of blisters.

- Dorothy Gardner, Whitby

“When I was told about Hikers Wool I was sceptical; having suffered from blistering and sore feet for years. In preparation for a 15 day bush walking trip in Zimbabwe in 2004, I hiked around the Wellington South coast past Red Rocks.

After half an hour the pressure points of my walking shoes were becoming unbearable so I stopped and wound the Hikers Wool to my feet where the soreness had developed and replaced my socks and shoes. To my amazement when I resumed walking, the soreness was no longer a bother and the remainder of the walk (15 km) was a breeze...”

“I have been hunting around for someone who can sell me more of this wonderful product. The last pack I bought was used on kids’ feet on the Marlborough Sounds Queen Charlotte Track with huge success.

I haven’t been able to locate any near home since. In my quest for Hikers Wool (in Auckland) I rang & visited many specialist shops only to be met with blank stares when I asked for the product...”   (Please send 5 large packs).

“I used the HikersWool when doing the Lands End-John O’Groats Walk in the UK. It worked really well on this 50 plus day walk – keeping the blister count down and providing effective padding and lubrication when blisters did appear.”

“After trying various products to overcome serious ankle chaffing, I have found the HikersWool product that you supplied far better, providing superior comfort during several hours of demanding hiking. I would certainly recommend this product for people experiencing similar problems”

“Dear HikersWool, I just want to say thank you! I was so glad I found you! The surgical plaster on my broken foot was creating intolerable itching which was driving me crazy! A friend of mine had heard of your HikersWool and suggested that I contact you. Using some little wisps of your HikersWool stopped the itching and saved my sanity. Thank you.
