Marathon Runners use various methods but what about "Fun Runners' ......

Runners, Trampers, Walkers, and ‘All-Sports’ people try various methods to avoid or relieve blisters on their feet….…..

Some of these methods are used after a blister has formed.

They try various greases, tapes, bandages, 2nd skins, even soaking their feet in mentholated spirits.

Most Marathon Runners and serious Walkers know exactly where they are likely to have problems with their feet and ankles and they apply their preferred blister prevention before a race.

They know that they cannot afford to waste valuable time dealing with blisters during an event. They just cannot stop during an event. Although there have been cases where even Olympiads have had to pull out of an event due serious problems with blisters.

But what about “Fun Runners”?   ….many of them just arrive-on-the-day for a bit of fun, hence the name.

Not being prepared, they are often ‘caught-out’ and end up suffering painful blisters which can turn their ‘Fun-Run’ into a very painful experience indeed and make completing it no fun at all.

“Fun- Runners” especially, should use blister avoidance methods before starting out rather than waiting until ‘hotspots’ and blisters appear.

Be prepared.

Use 100% natural HikersWool generously against the skin, wrapped around and between the toes and held against the heels before pulling on the socks.

Use only the best quality woolen socks.

Always keep your socks as clean as possible.

Try to keep feet cool, dry and friction-free as possible.

Warm, moist skin (feet) blisters quicker than cool, dry skin.

Use Hikerswool to assist wick-away moisture naturally..

Ball-of-the feet hotspots can be difficult…use Hikerswool very generously under here and pull on your sock carefully to keep the wool in place.

Be prepared and enjoy the ‘Fun Run’!
